British Round Side Table | Burled Wood Accent Table with Gold Laurel Inlay | EKAR FURNITURE
The Belgravia Laurel British Round Side Table is a study in classical elegance—compact in footprint, generous in character. Its round top is crafted from richly burled wood, its swirling grain catching the light like a piece of natural art, finished in a deep warm brown that reads as both traditional and quietly luxurious. At the center, a hand-inlaid gold laurel medallion is ringed by fine concentric gold lines, drawing the eye inward and giving the surface a jewel-like focus. The rim of the tabletop is finished in high-gloss black lacquer and trimmed with delicate gold carving, creating a crisp contrast that defines the silhouette beautifully. This is the kind of piece that holds its own in a room full of fine furniture.
The Belgravia table is built around a sculpted central column, carved from solid hardwood and finished in deep black with gilded leaf detailing where the column meets the top. The base spreads into three elegantly curved feet, each outlined in gold, that give the table a stable, planted stance. Small polished gold casters on the underside make it easy to glide the table into position without lifting—a practical touch that is appreciated in daily use. The burled wood top is sealed with a hard, durable finish that protects it from rings, spills, and everyday wear, while the gold inlay work is set by hand with the same care given to a fine piece of jewelry. Every surface is sanded, lacquered, and inspected by hand before the table is ready to ship.
A round side table earns its keep in dozens of places. Beside a sofa or armchair, it holds a lamp, a cup of tea, and the book you are reading within easy reach. In an entryway or hallway, it works as a graceful console table for keys, a tray, and a small vase of flowers. Between two chairs in a sitting room, it creates a natural gathering point for conversation. In a study or library, it offers a handsome surface for a stack of books and a reading lamp. In hospitality spaces—hotel suites, lounge corners, boutique guesthouses—the Belgravia table adds a note of understated prestige, the kind of detail that tells guests someone cared about the design. Its classical style pairs well with traditional interiors and adds warmth and grounding to more modern rooms.
